Sustainability and future - Thematic pole 4. Low carbon communities

The Thematic Pole Low Carbon communities in the framework of the South East Europe Programme capitalisation process will gather transnational projects from all over Europe to examine new possibilities to continue their contribution to EU2020 targets. The project representatives will be supported by international experts in brainstorming together on new strategies and cooperation within the Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union.

The event will be held on 27-28 August, 2014 in Fojnica, Bosnia and Herzegovina linked to the 10th Regional Summer School organized by the Regional Education and Information Centre on Sustainable Development in South East Europe (REIC) in collaboration with „German Development Cooperation“ – GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and Faculty of Resource Management.  

The Thematic Pole gathers projects aiming at improving the performance of local authorities in terms of energy and resource efficiency with the strategic objective to make the cities and regions of Europe real low carbon communities.
