A very intense stakeholder engagement process has taken place in the eight participating countries of the RE-SEEties project, in order to evaluate and compare enabling policy conditions with local practice of resource efficiency in urban communities.
The development of local strategies and action plans was a complex process that took into account many of the deliverables from the RE-SEEties project.
Behaviour change is of central importance in bringing about significant reductions in energy use and reduction of waste. Although in most cases this issue is often treated separately and secondary to technological development, this was certainly not the case in the RE-SEEties project.
The Thematic Pole Low Carbon communities in the framework of the South East Europe Programme capitalisation process will gather transnational projects from all over Europe to examine new possibilities to continue their contribution to EU2020 targets.
After 2 years of successful implementation, the project‘Towards resource efficient urban communities in SEE’ (RE-SEEties) with the participation of eight South East European municipalities and several professional institution partners has come to its end.
The Municipality of Egaleo with the support of the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving, CRES, organized an event addressed to the primary schools in Egaleo.
The exposition with the title "From the sunshine to the heat of our home" was organized by Harghita County Council - Energy Management Agency, between 11 and 12 of April, in the same time with the spring fair of traditional products.
